    Sighting the new bing bang

Took my new bing bang to the range today to sight it in ready for a trip next week.

Ran some factory softpoints then gave the barrel a clean. Next ran some handloads that are looking very promising.

Also tested the bottle rest I got from the Youtube guy.

Mauser M18 in .308 with a 22" barrel, DPT suppressor and Bushnell 3-9x40 scope.

Handloads were 165gr Nosler Ballistic tips courtesy of Mickey Duck last year and ADI2208 powder with CCI LR primers.

Thoughts on the bottle rest, not that easy to use off the bench it smacked me on the chin a couple of times, will probably be better shooting prone. However it does help to keep a solid rest and will do some field testing once I get my bipod on the rifle.

Do you think the 308 will be big enough for wallabies?

I would think so, I use my 22-250 for goats.

Bing bang ( who do who ) bottle rest ( you tube guy i dont know ).
The winter blows, more time on the internet, and less time shooting shit. Most of us know where you are coming from.
Spice up your life and use the wife's pillowcase filled with sand. Probably work better and it will improve your reflexes at home.

I try and improvise as much as I can to improve my shooting. I always try different types of rest as you can never know what will present itself. Today I just used what was on hand at the range.

Sure am. One day I'll run them over a chrono to check the drop but accuracy is what I hoped for.
