Thread: Sks at the range

Picked up an sks norinco on one of those dollar reserve auctions. What a cool little rifle. But at sbout 60 rounds the rear sight blew right off the gun and disappeared. Couldn't get the spring to seat properly so back gun city. The fella at the counter was awesome and gave me another rifle without question. Only problem was when I got home and started to clean that horrible grease off, the trigger group fell on the floor!
I could get it back in because of the shitty mag they have to fit to them. So back to store again and same very helpful guy pulled a few rifles out for me to choose from. I secured the best I could from the look of them and tested the cycling. Just finished strip and clean. It's a mint one this one.
Just thought I'd share so to warn others to check basic operation of these Ol shitters before leaving the store. Might save a lot of gas and time. Still love it. Heaps of fun to shoot and cheap ammo.
