Thread: Somewhere to shoot? - Whangarei

Gidday Team,

Wondering if anyone might have a spare 100m of paddock and a bank they wouldn’t mind me borrowing for some load development. Have been heading all the way up to Awanui but she’s abit of a haul. If there is anywhere nearer to Whangarei it’d be hugely appreciated, just need somewhere I can do what I need to do un rushed and without holding everyone else up at a range while I fart around with chronographs and slow rates of fire to avoid the barrel getting hot.
in return you get good quality shit shooting covering hunting, gear, problems of the world, how to solve them an I’ll even throw a few cans of your choice in your fridge as well.

Gidday mate, im out south but happy to drive a bit, just as long as its before Awanui . 3-900 would be the business but ill take 100m for initial workups if that's all that's available...

There is a long-range club out that way somewhere but it can be a bit painful trying to work up loads on range days, holding everyone else up. I'm with the Harbourmaster's Office.

NRA has set up a new range out past Mangakaramea that has a 1000m range but closed this time of the year. deerstalkers have a range out marua that is quite user-friendly if you join mp me if you need more info
