Anyone know what the first day results are??
No results yet.
If anybody has got the list "nick" lost it and had details he needed on back..
The claw took a photo of the results "I think they came second"
Jamie and Greg won with a whooping total so congrats to them.
Great weekend away and looking forward to the next one

Wind was the winner on the day... And 6mm Creedmoors (3 of top 4 rifles). We (Team Claw) got 2nd so pretty stoked with that.
Greg and Jamie shot awesome and showed that's there's a lot of merit in having identical set ups. We struggled with wind calls, a 110gr SMK at 3,080 is way better than a 143gr ELD-x at 2,700... But still did pretty good for a factory Tikka superlight dropped into a Boyds provarmint stock.
Highlight was a hit at 1,636m with 6mm.
Cheers to Sparrowhawk and the sponsors [emoji106]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ffef38ea7d.jpg

Thanks guys, yeah Jamie was on fire! I just rode on her coat tails.
The 6mms were amazing! They are just sweet to shoot. Super stable, they were not struggling with the wind anywhere near as much as most other's guns.
It was a fantastic shoot and was really well run, the stages were all fun, challenging definitely, but not frustrating.
If you are at all interested in shooting comps, I definitely recommend these types of matches, a great bunch of shooters, no chest beating stooges. Trust me you will learn heaps.
So what's your reasoning for running a 6mm cartridge when lots of other cartridges do have the same or less wind drift ?
Bloody great bunch of shooters!
Well done to the Southern Raiders! Mopped the floor with everyone else....
Highlight was the first round hit at the mile followed by two more hits for 3/5 and the wallaby that got wrecked at 1000m on Saturday evening...

Been interesting to watch, being just down the road.Good shooting guys.
Our rifles are built to compete in PRS, where you have to correct your own shots. so if you can't see where they go your buggered.
The 6mm is super low recoil, it's the first time I've been able to watch my own trace from the barrel to impact. And they are super accurate.
Less recoil with as good if not better ballistics than most, especially with the 110gr SMK. My rifle is set up heavy in a MDT ACC chassis with weights, can spot my own shots really easily and follow up shots really fast as I don't come off target at all.
Downsides are less ballistic signature (trace and bullet splash) and barrel life compared to the 6.5 versions

Hi Claw, what model and specs was your scope for seeing targets so far?.Iv got a new 300wm to stretch the legs as far as I can see.
Cheers Trout
I'm using a Kahles K624i on my 6mm. It's slightly limited for elevation for really long shots but then I didn't build this rifle for that purpose anyway. I can dial to about 1550m and then have another 10 mils available in the reticle.
