    Steel for gongs

Hi Im after 3 8 inch? square steel suitable for gongs to purchase , open to gong size suggestions would be for load testing out to 500 yards, calibers up to 300wsm. Is there anyone you could suggest in the Manawatu area I would be able to source these from.
    Cheers

See Alistair at Ashurst engineering, Bis 80would be the minimum hardness you want, preferably AR 400, or Brinel 400 or ideally 500 would last for ever.

Order what ever you want from Fletcher Easy Steel. Send them your dimensions, they will plasma cut and ship. Buy AR500 (only 3-5% dearer than AR400) and the investment will pay for itself.
