Tentman, just be aware that the chrono feature of the Silver Mountain target has some inherent limitations.
You are effectively relying on a couple of microphones, quite close together (6 or 8 inch stalk), to pick up the sonic crack. In theory this is fine, but when you start adding in vertical angles due to bullet drop, and horizontal angles due to target placement and wind, things get a bit iffy.
Using the displayed speed to get a rough idea of your ES or SD is fine, but as an accurate measure of actual speed, I would look to Magnetospeed or Labradar.
