Hey guys,
Anybody have any experience with NZ made Vulcan barrels? Wondering how you found them for accuracy and any good / negative comments.
In case anybody wants to know, Vulcan barrels are still operating. Sent an email enquiring about calibre/twist last week and got a detailed reply within a few hours.
I have ordered a few barrel blanks from them when they were making and selling them and they were fine
My last order for several barrels was being discussed with them and then midway nothing was heard from them again, no e-mails returned so figured they went tits up or the guy got out of it due to ill health
At the time I spoke to a few people that were wanting orders filled so it was abit of a shame they stopped making them
I have used a few of his barrels long ago, seemed to go ok
I have used Vulcan barrels for several years with excellent results, both in my personal and customers rifles. John did stop production for a while but is now back in operation.
Pleased he's back in business. I would buy any nz made barrel. Bradley, true flite, hardy and vulcan should all be pretty good
great barrels. I have some of them and they shoot great!
