Thread: Weekday and Club shooting.

Now that my FAL and Rifle have arrived i would like to get out and learn and use it. I plan to do the Hunting course offered at the Deerstalkers range. Im wondering if there is anywhere in Auckland available to go shooting on weekdays? Im based on the North Shore. What would be the best local club to visit?

Tim, if you find one let me know! It seems you have to go all the way to waiuku to shoot in on a week day. About an hour from the shore...

Id probably take a day off every now and then to go to Waiuku - is it only a pistol club?

nah they shoot everything there

I am interested in having a go at Pistol shooting so could be worth a look.

Catch a plane to timaru - 0600 to 2300hrs, 7 days a week shooting, at a range.

And yes, no real help at all - but you know - si/ni, jaffa/kiwi, no traffic/highway car park, new house and land 400k/4m, etc......

You should check if goo'ol Birkenhead Rifle Club is back and running. The did shut down for a few years due to some air extraction installation and what not. I would think they should be back and up and running by now.

Very affordable club fees, 40 bucks a year subs and 5 dollars per shoot. Very nice crowd too.
