Where to get a little gong?

Don't laugh, but I'm getting back in to rimfire shooting and looking for a little gong, say 2inch/50mm. Think it would be more fun than shooting paper (but not rabbits!). Anyone know where I can get something like this, or DIY ideas for the DIY-challenged individual. Gun City sells spinning targets, but they are always too low to the ground for where I shoot.

Pretty easy for a local engineering firm to fabricate one up for you if you don't have the diy skills. The disk just needs to be high tensile like 4140 or biz80 plate. For the up rights 1/2inch pipe is plenty or 12mm rod.

For normal 22LR 6mm mild steel plate will suit your needs fine - once you go to the jackets ammunition though say 22Mag or 17HMR then you need to step up to Bis80.

Steel supply place may be able to part you off a piece of 50mm x 6mm strip - then all you have to do is drill a hole in it, hang it and start shooting.

I use a bit of 8mm mild steel for my rimfire gongs. 22LR barely takes the paint off. Magnum leaves a dent but not much. I have mine on a frame made of steel 10mm rod so I can push it into the ground or I can get a piece of wood, drill 10mm holes in the right place and set it into that on harder ground. There is another small gong behind the hole in the centre. This was an idea to see if it would work. The centre hanger is for the small "bull gong. With an air rifle hit on the big one you can tell easy enough. When an air rifle hits the smaller one it swings back and make a clang when it hits the front one again. With the 22 it does not work that way. Tee is enough energy it goes all newtons cradle and you cannot tell if it went through the hole or not. Either way it is a lot of fun

I did see those. Do you think they'd be up to the job?

Good question and much more fun than paper. As suggested if Ali express doesn't work out just a small off cut of steel plate from the local engineering shop. 4 to 6 inch's max. I hung mine under a bent electric fence batton.
Get's a real good ring and jumps around, quiet satisfying and very good practice for technique and getting to know both your rifle and a caliber.
Cheap to practice and get some wind blowing and mate it's amazing to see what it takes to ring the gong.
I got heavier plate as it was also used out to 300 mtrs with a 223 so covered a few different rifles.

Some of the rimfire targets. 6mm mild steel good for all rimfire from 50 out to 250. The swingers are just on old door hinges and swing well.

AliExpress bits arrived. Look OK. Comparable in size to a rabbit's head I'll report back when I've fired a shot at them.
