Destroyed in three shots with 22LR at 50 metres

To be fair, the body seemed to cope quite well. The neck got a bit bent out of shape on the second shot and the whole thing went flying off with the the third shot, broken at the neck. I had it attached to something solid via a bolt through the eye. It could spin freely, but no room to manoeuvre left and right. I'll try with another one on a chain before giving up

Hey at least I woulda hit the one I was aiming at @Gibo hahahahaha The ones we've shot are hung on wire at similar range, they got a little bit spooned up after a session, but didn't break! Maybe worth attaching them more loosely? We used subs too, were you using minimags or something? The other 3 dozen I gave to other people on the forum that don't have neighbours, I'll see how they got on.

That's bloody awesome, thanks! Will do.

As some way of paying it forward, if anyone wants four of China's finest gongs*, send me your address via PM.

*Good for air rifles, or alternatively any other calibre provided you don't actually hit it.

Don't know, didn't get the opportunity, but at almost the same muzzle energy (i.e. 50 versus 100 metres), I wouldn't hold out too much hope for the Chinese gongs!

New gongs arrived. Thanks very much @veitnamcam

They look like they would take a bloody good clobbering, like the Chinese gongs on steroids!. Slightly bigger and way heavier plate. Can't wait to try them out and when I do, I'll report back.
