Zeroing - Help! (Real accuracy and precision)

Hey guys. I went to zero today and shot this mean group! Squares are 5mm

I figured, up 1 to zero, should be good.

Before I made any adjustments, I fired another group to check. I must've pulled one. Still looking like I need to come up a click. But maybe it's a bit to the left? I mean, they're both way sub MOA groups.

3 shot groups can tell lies.

Treat it as a 6 shot group and adjust from there. For me, one up and 1 right. But I never fuss with a zero off a bit, it'll be good to 300 plus anyway and after that I dial and the offset is in the app.

Anything less than a 50 shot group is statistically irrelevant.

    Gimp is bored I think.

Well jeez you're all very unhelpful. Except Tentman.

1 click up, 1 click right. That sounds like it should do it.

Although the rest of you untrusting buggers have got me doubting myself with all this nonsense about sample size. I'll fire a couple more, then I'll be really confident to lock it in. After all, getting zeroed is some serious business.

Another beautiful tight group, that's what I'm talking about. I did my part for sure. Hmm 1 more then I'll make the adjustment, zero it out and go shoot something.

No way! That's gotta be me. Must have pulled it. Still left. Better shoot 1 more, maybe it doesn't need to come up at all?

Ok that's fucked. Help me out guys. It can't be the rifle, I've fired 5x 3 shot groups averaging .6 inches! And as small as .273" It's nearly a half MOA rifle, even if you include those fliers which I definitely think I should ignore.

    What now?!

You haven't even hit the paper yet, go back to bore sighting. Those holes are from Fred in the bay over, who is wondering why he hasn't hit his target yet and is about to fuck with his scope.

That must be samples of your 200m grouping...right? You have a 200m zero, no need to make adjustment other than dial for greater target distance.

Get some DNZ rings. Parked the Optilocks. Never had so many head shot deer. 3 last night. They are rock solid.
