    Another Auckland Intro

    Hey Lads and Laddeses

Im Taupo bred but now Auckland based and just got my FAL approved.
Used to do quite a bit of shooting as a kid but haven't done much in the past 10 years other than range pistol/full auto stuff while in the states.
Looking to get back into the game, pretty keen on both target and hunting. Plan is to first up get a Rimmy and once ive worked out which end to point at the fluffy things, start gearing up to get back out into the bush. Working my way up to getting out for the Roar this time next year.

Keen as for any party hunts or meets/shoots. Dont have much to bring to the table in terms of big game experience, but aint afraid to get my hands dirty and get into it, and I've been known to trade cold brews for tall yarns.

I'll most likely be picking a few of you fine gentlemen/women's brains over the next little while so thanks in advance.

    Cheers
    Nick

Welcome Nick. Enjoy the forum. I am sure you will meet a few of us over time.

Something cheap and straight shooting as I have access lil block that needs some de rabbiting asap and im pretty damn keen to get out in the field but need to ease the missus into the idea of dropping some cash on a nicer rifle.
Will kinda depend on what pops up on trade me but most likely a little Marlin or savage bolty.

Yeah man, Great ol rifles. The JW-15 norincs are a direct copy arnt they?
The old boy had a ol' beater brno, thats the rifle I used to chase rabbits with as a grommit. Looked rough as guts but shot straight as an arrow.
