    Brynderwyn Hills reserve

    Kia Ora,

Heading up for a camp over Easter with the family but want to sneak away for a walk and hopefully a shoot. Does anyone know if Brynderwyn hills reserve is available?
I got the DOC permit for Northland reserves which it is covered under but can't find info on its availability.
Any advice would be great or suggestions on better areas near that area, not too bothered what I find, just keen to get out there.

    Cheers,

Probably the odd pig in there but I haven't heard of any goats. I'm guessing you are staying around Mangawhai/Waipu - your nearest spot with any goats is probably the Tangihuas.

Brynderwyn Hills Scenic Reserve is open. There are pigs in there, a lot from what my pig hunting friends tell me. Best bet for goats is the Tangihuas.

Hey, plenty of pigs no goats, hard work is the bush. Walked back from there on forestry roads, there was sign on the skids, and a pond that would be frequented over the summer that was a while back. Is there any DOC land out waipu caves way? Sighted goats on the walkway there a few times, could be worth a look.

Probably not a whole lot of help
