    Butcher boy

    Hi guys,

Cam here 34M from Northland. I'm an experienced slaughterman (I did a 10 year stint at AFFCO Moerewa).I've been an avid reader of this forum for awhile now and thought I may aswell sign up.

Being the resident butcher in my neck of the woods I'm automatically tasked with any homekill/breaking down of meat for gatherings and events. I didn't really get into hunting until a few years ago when I joined a few mates on opening morning and goat shoots and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm looking forward to learning some new things from the members of this forum and maybe even share some of the knowledge I've picked up along the way.

    Cheers,

    Camshaft

I had two different butchers show me how to break down a deer at seperate times something like 25 years ago. One of my pighunting mates was a rail boner and holy smoke is he fast at that job. Yip a tame butcher is great mate to have... Guess you can get out of some other tasks as a trade off. Welcome aboard. Be interesting to hear other input on knife threads.
