Evening
Hi - been bowling animals over since I was a kid. Hunt mostly central and lower NI public land and some private. Been looking at a new rifle to confidently shoot out to 500m and after some internet searching, your fella's previous convos confirmed what I though was a good option (t3x 7mmRM). Lots of knowledge here it seems so be good to learn some new tricks. I don't normally have too much to say. Would be keen to connect up with some like-minded hunters if the opportunity arose. I do a couple of heli trips each year and keen to add some more if some folks needed another person or poeple wanted to get something setup.
Also thinking about what rings to put on the t3x. Will have a vx5 3-15 which is a 30mm tube if anyone has any thoughts. Cheers

I have a rem 700 long range in the forsale section that might just temp you.....
central north island is great place for hunting in these times...more animals around than ever before.

Hi Micky, you're right, its crazy how many deer are out there. When was a kid hunting goats up the Whanganui river we used to see and push over a handful each trip. These days you go up and see a handful of deer.
Will have a nosey at your 700 but think I'm pretty set on the t3x.

Thanks rugerman. Seems like a great place. Lots of nice people willing to share their knowledge and experience. I generally don't have too much to say but will chip in when I think I can add some value.

First 6 rounds with the new 7mm Magnum. Recoil wasn't too bad compared to a .308. Good advice from you lot on this. Thanks.
