It is a SINGLE visit per month, for a couple of hours. I don't think that is "expensive" or "troublesome".
It is a common complaint from a small minority of people about the requirements for gaining and maintaining a B-endorsment. Pistol NZ is probably one of the better run national shooting organizations - I've been part of I think 5 or 6 national shooting bodies at some stage... The model created by PNZ has some real benefits - it is well thought of by the police, and above all it creates a framework for the clubs to vet potential members. There are several people out there who simply never get beyond the probationary stage - for very good reason...
