Finally made the switch - FnH -> NZHS

    Hi All!

Long time lurker, and (a wee while ago now) contributor to FishnHunt (as "Manual Man") but after seeing how inactive it is these days I've finally jumped ship to here.

    Cheers!
    Ben

Hi Ben - welcome. I remember your useful contributions on FnH from many moons ago.

FnH has been a very good forum but it is quiet now. NZHS encourages much more engagement, chat about firearms, topical issues etc, and seems to be growing very well.

I keep an eye on both..

I’m a member of both - and wonder why the ‘other pub’ is so quiet?

    Welcome mate.

I've posted a few threads on FnH recently (same user name as here) and its like a morgue. Certainly lots of views, but very little interaction.

IMO its a combination of factors hammering in the nails in its coffin.
I can't see the trend being reversed. Should FnH close, it will take a lot of knowledge hosted on it pages.
Although much is now buried away and difficult to find, ie the 2002-2006 FnH forum domain is no longer supported and available.

Sorry Ben - I forgot to say welcome to this great forum, a site full of knowledge and inter-member irreverence!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone! I guess FnH is victim the nature of the internet which encourages centralisation of knowledge on a subject, if you're not first, you're last sort of thing.

Upper Hutt, followed family down. Being into mountain biking, climbing and hunting I'm loving how much of each there is at hand in Canty (or within a few hours drive). Still need to find a local range to join though.
