    G'Day

Been lurking for a while and now find myself checking in most days. Cool bunch of folk on here who seem happy to share their wit and wisdom.
I'm no longer in the flush of youth sadly but still shoot possums 2 or 3 nights a week with the odd goat thrown in for good measure and spend more time than I care to admit beating the crap out of assorted metal targets etc.
I'm lucky enough to live in the country in North Auckland and with only friends and family living close and with my rifles being suppressed as well can shoot on a regular basis with out upsetting the neighbours.
Look forward to following more of these fascinating conversations down the track.

Welcome. Enjoy your isolation. Auckland is like a spreading cancer reaching further every day.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

I've heard rumors, but are they actually doing anything with the pools up there? Used to love that place as a kid.

Used to drop picnic bars down the slides at Parakai. Amazing how quick people can move when they think there's a shit in the pool.

There's been rumours about the Waiwera pools complex for years but as I understand it no progress is being made. There was a sell off of tools and machinery a few months back on Trademe and I believe there are still ongoing legal disputes about the ownership and future of the facility.
Bloody shame, my kids spent a huge amount of time there back in the day and loved the place.
Thanks for the warm welcome lads.
