    G'day from the Hutt

    Hi,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I finally got organised enough to register and introduce myself.

I'm a hutt dwelling govt wage slave, dad of one gorgeous little girl, and a long suffering and misunderstood husband...

When I get a little bit of time to myself,I spend way too much of what little time I do have burning ammo at the range, or reloading ready for my next range session.

I'd like to get out and wander the hills more, but free weekends are fairly rare nowadays. Still maybe one day soon I'll be able to get back out there....

Looking forward to learning new things, and to settling in to what seems like a pretty cool forum.

I had noticed the pretty high concentration of Welly members, it is pretty impressive!

    Welcome Scaggly!

What do you shoot? And how long have you been reloading?

You probably know how much time this place can drag away from a busy fella, with quite a bit to learn and read. Nevertheless bloody good to have you here

I shoot tend to shoot all sorts, to be honest. At the moment, I've got a few .22's in the safe, .303s of various makes and models, some 8mm and .308 mausers, a couple of ARs, an sks, and the good old shottie.

I have been reloading for probably 8 or 9 years now. I reload for .223, .303, .308, and 8mm mauser. Have recently moved from a single stage press to a progressive for .223 loading, and have found my reloading speed (and reloading costs) just went through the roof!!

You're dead right, this forum could easily soak up a lot of anyone's free time, there is a ton to read, and trying to absorb even a bit of it will be a real challenge.

Hi Toby, this might not be much use to you but my pet load for .303 is 34gr of ar2206 under a 174gr RN. I'm down to my last kg or so of 2206, and will at some stage have to work up a new load with a new powder.
