Welcome Tom. Good to have you aboard.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Thanks for the welcome , I live in Central Queensland , and can I say we are very jealous of NZ's gun laws over here.

Yeh I understand things are a bit tough over there. You could always relocate to this side of the ditch.

Welcome Tom. Do you shoot sporting? I am moving too Chinchilla soon but can find any sporting shoots. Going to Brizzy for a couple later on in the year.

Hi there fellow Aussie. It's gotta have its pros and cons shooting over there in oz. I mean the weather is usually drier with less wind. Lots of ranges to go shoot at as well.
I'm from the Illawarra region (Kiama) but i live in Auckland nowdays. I'm getting my rifle muzzle threaded for a suppressor in the next week or so and it dawned on me just how much trouble I'd have to go through to get this done in OZ. Is it possable with the right endorsement?

The problem over here is the distances you have to travel to shoot .I shoot at my local club mainly and although it doesn't throw the best targets , it's better than nothing. We shoot 5 stand mostly , but do put on a couple of sporting shoots a year. The rest of the time if there's nothing better to do I shoot Skeet but from the gun down position.
If you are mad keen on sporting then Vic and NSW are the places to be but Brisbane is your next best bet.

I don't know the gun laws here word for word but having a suppressor in this country is a big " NO "
People get their muzzles threaded over here but for Brakes not suppressors .

Cheers mate. I like my compak and 5 stand as well. I am keen to attend as many shoots as I can while I live here.
