First post here, I have only just discovered this site and thought I should get on board.
I'm more of a target shooter than a hunter but only due to opportunities (or the lack of).
I have been to NZ once for a guided hunt near Greymouth a few years ago and intend to do the next one my way, but that may be 12 months away yet.
In the mean time I will be watching here and hopefully learning. Probably with a few questions.

I passed though the SE the other day, en route between Gladstone & Redcliffe.

'Mount Beerwah' is an impressive feature just North of Brisbane.
I also saw what looked to be a wee mob of deer in the hill country inland and abeam the Sunshine Coast on the way heading South. What species might they have been? They were a bit far off to tell.
