Hi There
welcome
Welcome Hamish
Welcome young fellah.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
Giday! Its good to hear from a youngster into shooting. Welcome
He is Baiting you a wee bit...You will find quite a lot of discussion about 270s and 7mmo8s and the reputations of their owners....A bit like Ford/ Holden arguments then someone pipes up and says they own a Kia.....
I see you are not far from me....The local NZ handloaders on McLeans Island could also be worth joining. It will give you somewhere to practise (and burn through ammo) and they do trap / skeet as well so a lot of fun....
Deer Stalkers has a club and range next door to them and is another good place to look for new shooters.
Either way , welcome and be prepared for a lot of reading...especially if you like humour...(The "Campfire" jokes thread is up to page 1700+)
Thank you, I feel very welcome already
Oh I see, that makes sense now lol, i'm an automotive apprentice so i'm familiar with the ol ford/holden type of debate
Yeah I have been meaning to ask around about the handloaders assn out there, will give me some folks to yarn with and its much closer than Lake Lyndon
