    Gidday Fellas

Gidday lads, hope your all well!

Bit about me, I've recently got my gun license, I'm based in Southland and am looking for something to hunt with for goats and the odd deer.
Currently I have an old 22 though i'm unsure this would be any good for goats. Anyways i'm on the look out for something a bit bigger, Looking for something reasonably cheap as we've recently had a baby also.
    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Cheers

Welcome, great place to be down there plenty of deer on your door step. I’d say you would need something abit bigger for goats and deer. 223 or 308 are great starting rifles for someone new to the sport
