I'd like to introduce myself, I'm a 30 year old fella from the UK who grew up in rural communities in England and Ireland. My lovely wife, Tracey, is sadly Australian. I worked over there for a few years and was transferred to Auckland with my job. We currently live in south east Auckland but own a great little camper and get out of the city every weekend usually to parts of Hunua, Waikato, Te Aroha, Shakespeare and Maraetai but I'm always looking for excuses to go somewhere new.
I'm into anything outdoors. Canoeing, hiking, camping, fishing, any adventure. I grew up shooting other people's guns but now I'm starting to climb the hunting ladder from the bottom beginning with knocking over some pests for people with a .22 air rifle - so let me know if you or your mates are tripping over rabbits in the paddocks.
My goal is to work my butt off to save for a block on the south island somewhere around Oamaru maybe and my hunting goal is to one day hunt Tahr down there and get a really sweet hide to have tanned. Plus tahr stew is the business!
There's a lot to learn so I'd like to say thanks to the more experienced people who share what they know here, it's a huge help to a new comer.
