I am a Swede that met a kiwi girl 25 years ago and spend a lot of time in NZ over the years but never really lived here, Moved here 4 years ago because the kids were so keen and also for it is such a cool place. Have hunted a bit here in NZ over the years, but I think of myself as more of a outdoor lover that that likes hunting than a super dedicated hunter, I hunt with friends mostly in in Central Otago where we live, I also enjoy being out there hunting with my son that is 11 years old. I like the adventure of being out there, going new places, backpacking and tenting and the excitement of stalking a deer. Hunt mostly for Red and Fallow, but have dome some Tahr hunting too. Have done a bit of moose hunting back home in Sweden and a lot of Grouse shooting. If any of you have questions regarding hunting in Sweden, I might be able to help!
