    Greetings

    Hi Guys, I've been lurking off and on for awhile now and ordered a .308 the other day, I figured it was time to sign up. The next thing to do is get on a HUNTS course.

    I'm interested in hunting, shooting and a bit of fishing. After spending 20 years overseas I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to what NZ has to offer, we truly are blessed with our great outdoors.

    G'day Kelvin.
    Welcome aboard. I can't recommend the HUNTs course enough. I put my boy through it(I was required to tag along) and it taught us more in a short period,than a lot of blind stumbling around not knowing anything did. The boy was losing interest, but that has changed.
    They put you into areas that hopefully holds good numbers. Success breeds enthusiasm. Good luck.

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
