    Greetings from South Africa

    Good day fellow hunters

    My name is Martin and I currently still reside in Johannesburg, and we are considering moving to Wellington, NZ.

    Is there any hunting clubs I can or will want to join? Ones that I should stay away from?

    This is still an introduction post, however do any of you guys know how it will work with my licensed firearms moving over to NZ?

    One of my biggest fears is that my wife advertise to sell the rifles for the amount I have told her that I have paid...

    Welcome Mirtin. Just moved over here myself. Took us 2 years from deciding to move over till we landed in Wellington.

    Joined the deerstalkers. Must say things work totally different but......it works. Embrace the change and go with the flow and you'll love it.

    Unless you have firearms that are of unique or historical significance it's probably not worth the hassle of getting them out of South Africa, particularly if they are semi-automatic. Here is a general overview of domestic firearm laws if you're unfamiliar:

    Gday mate. Plenty of hunters and clubs. You’ll have to get used to the soft stance we take on criminals here but other than that, should be enjoyable.

    What made you choose Wellington? Work?
