Thread: Gun licence renewal

Hi All
Just wondering if any one has run into the same problem renewing their firearms licence ?problem is I work and live out of Nz and have not seen a docter in nz for years so no longer registered with them and not eligible to because I’m outside the country for more than 182 days a year .fire arms authority are saying must be registered to a nz based health practice to have a nz fire arms licence . Any one have a similar problem and found a solution ?

Just register yourself at a surgery - more than a few people never see a doctor.

The situation of people that never see a doctor has and was contemplated.

You will have a NZ based address to get a licence, so find a healthcare practise in the area.

Just go and register at the Hanmer health Center. Where about's in Hanmer are you? We did 7 years down Woodbank Rd left 18months ago.

Looks like he's living in Perth, not in NZ at present

Ah - Just tell them you are NOW in the country permanently and need to register.

Being truthful might be the best course. Usually is.

With todays technology would take them 5 minutes to disprove your statement if untrue, may decide "not fit and proper."

You could try The Amuri Health centre or the Waikari one, you might get a different answer.
