The name is Jordan. Last name is Moss, hence the forum name Mossie. Generally I am a dirty bush hobbit, but after attending some of these LR steel hunting days, I have caught the bug.
Would have put a photo of me up, but being a photographer myself, I am always behind the lens. That and my face is one that turns women into lesbians.
I'm from the lower North Island like nothing more than wandering around the hills with my rifle. Hence my forum name.
My name is David, from upper Waikato, Love hunting, fishing, and generaly playing with guns. I like to do the odd budget build.

Hi all. I'm Martin. Originally from Sth London but after having a bit of a nose around the planet I discovered NZ and never left. Just got my Citizenship. Been hunting for 3 years. Being in Northland limits my hunting of deerz but I have secured some nice farms to chase roosters, quail, ducks, pigs and goats. Obsessed with upland and will spend 50% of opening weekend chasing Roosters with Badger my GWP. Still trying for my first roaring red and a representative Fallow is my real goal as I love Fallow. Aside from hunting I'm a lifelong photographer(Nikon) and angler. Own the smallest brewery in NZ - Middle Earth Brewery(MEB) although we currently aren't brewing.
Just starting to take an interest in guns themselves but in general I'm happy with what I've got and can't afford anything else. Win M70 Featherlight in .275Rigby. Nikko 2200 12g. Anshutz .22lr.
I have more than my fair share of hair and without doubt the skinniest legs on this forum.

I absolutely love being in the hills and am currently counting down the days to the roar when I will be doing my first chopper trip, my first trip to the Urewera's and my first roar trip with Greendog.
nice crew building up on here
Kia ora, Steevo here,
You may remember me from such forums as NZ Airgunners forum, Not so Awesome fishing and Hunting NZ forum and now NZ Shooting and Hunting Forum? Look forward to chatting with OLD friends...
Hi. I'm Jim, know me before you judge me :)
Go by the name of Jap at the other pub.
Keen slayer of the deerz here on the East Coast. Upland game all season, then back to deerz.
Hey guys, great looking forum here. Names Nelson, been shooting since pretty young (son of NK/Grasshopper). Old man got me into this addiction, and it shall be a fair while til it goes. No doubt I'll have some stupid questions here and there.
Cheers!
Gidday Nelson. I chatted to you at the NZDA range last month, I shoot the 75 Finnlight in .270, 75 Laminate in .223 and had the Molot Vepr there last time. Welcome to the forum!
Greetings, Blame Philipo for me joining this new forum.
Anyway i'm from just south of Hamilton and my interests are predominantly hunting with a little bit of fishing. I get down to the Kaimanawas as much as I can as i love chasing sika and try to get down to the south island for at least one hunt a year where i've hunted and shot and hunted some nice Thar, Chamois & Wapiti.

Hi all
Live in the middle of the south Island....... and love most forms of hunting although to be fair I have pretty much not bothered with birds for some time.....
I hunt thar and deer mostly... would love to chase pigs more often but not being into dogs that happens infrequently....
Wallabies get a pasting and varminting is also a real interest.
Stepped into LR stuff a bit, but am less interested in practicing than hunting, so sold a custom 7WSM and built a 6.5x55Ackley on a finnlight as a tops gun.... good for more than I have skill for.......
Currently working on dropping some condition and spending more time in the hills....... managed to keep my hair so far, if not quite the original colour...
Into motorbikes, jetboats and fishing as well........ not enough time.....

G'Day Fella's,
Same old Homer from F & H forum, was told about this forum by one of the participants!
Sorry, not PC savvy enough to be able to post images but I do know how to talk and just enjoy looking at your images!
Best of luck to the people that run(?) this forum, I hope it is very successful!
Doh!
Homer
Hi Homer, welcome :)
Posting photos is very easy on this platform!
In the little window where you type your post, there is a bar of icons at the top, click the one that says 'Insert Image' when you hold the mouse over it (button indicated by red arrow in attached screenshot), select the "from computer" tab, hit "select files" then select the photo you wish to upload.

Enjoy your time here!
G'Day Gimp,
Here goes,
Attachment 108
I hope that worked!
If it did, it will have some lucky dick with a 12"+ Tahr and 10" Chamois he shot with his old "Pug Ugly" .308.
Doh!
Homer
Outstanding moustache!
Thanks Gimp!
And it wasn't even Movember!
FYI, the Tahr was shot up in the Two Thumb Range, at just under 6000ft and the Chamois was shot over on The Coast, just South of Westland NP during the late 1990's.
The rifle is a heavily modified Rem 600 Mohawk that was rebarreled, restocked etc etc. It still weighs in at right on 3Kgs and shoots better than I can!!!
Double Doh!!
Homer
Here is another image (I hope?) of the same Chammy and a view of this 1985 built rifle of mine

Hi all, my name is Scott, go by the same name as in the other pub. Salmon fishing is on the agender now but all my other time is split between hunting and my family. Mint forum guys hopefully alot less politics and bitching over here.
Attachment 112Attachment 114
Good to see you here Scott. Long time no talk ah? Need to catch up for a hunt again sometime?
yea for sure mate, after xmas when shit settles down I can get away most weekends
If only I could get away most weekends... New baby due in a couple of weeks, all leave passes have been cancelled for a couple months...
Hows it, names Brad, known as Beavis across a few boards. I live in Taupo and I'm into service rifle shooting, Sika hunting and four wheel driving, which I do once in a blue moon cuz I'm paranoid about breaking my truck. But anything involving firearms or hunting I'm pretty keen on.
My best effort so far
