Hi Zharn, good to see another upland hunter on here. Quail and Chukar down here, there's a few pheasants around also since I started releasing them a few years back.
Always wanted to have a go at the Chukar, good pointer country from what I've seen?
hey everyone thats turned up. Awesome to see so many here already. Like Philipo sed invite good buggers
Just wandered in off the street.
Keen on all aspects of hunting and shooting.
Horihunter checking in. I hunt most things feather and fur. Giving the tahr a bit more attention these days. Enjoy hunting upland game also over my 2 year old vizsla who is coming along nicely. Have a vizsla lab too that works the heavy cover well but is best suited to stopping things that cant fly
Hi I'm Alex.
I grew up catching trout in wee burns in Scotland, graduating to salmon and sea-trout. I have spent a lot of time and sometimes money on shooting birds (pheasants, grouse, woodcock, snipe, partridges...) and deer red & roe. Have to squeeze it all in between family and "socialising". Moved from UK with my family in 2010 and loving the West Coast, work in the mining industry but have no wish to earn more by living in a dusty shithole...(been there...done that).

My sentiments exactly. Welcome to the forum and NZ.
Made it to this one too. At least this one lets me be Tim.
Hi Craig from the Hutt Valley. I hunt, dive, fish and sometimes work...

That sounds like a reasonable lifestyle. Mine is currently much the reverse.
Hi all, Names Grant 28 from Marlborough. fairly novice hunter but get out as often as I can. Plenty of experience at shooting goats - as that's generally what I find instead of the venison I'm after!!! lol. Looking forward to seeing this forum go of with a bang!! :)
hi all, was talking to Pop Shot this evening and he told me about this place, I'm an Armourer in the RNZAF, been getting paid to play with guns and bombs and stuff for 16 years now, one day i might grow up and get a real job. I hunt most big game but my fav deer to hunt are the sneaky Grey Ghosts. If i've done this right i should have put a photo of my not so handsome mug on here.

Hi All
This place is looking pretty cool. I am avid land based fisherman. Waikato river is my favourite haunt. Have been known to shoot the odd deer or two.

Hey guys, found my way over here too. I'm Laurie and never seem to get enough time for spearfishing and hunting...not likely to get better anytime soon as the missus just dropped baby #2.
Currently have a SAKO AV 280 as my main carry rifle, but its a bit of a brick - would like to replace the wooden stock as funds permit. Also have a little 6mmBR project rifle on a Rem 788 action - still tinkering with it and yet to shoot it. Recently bought a barnard barrelled action (palma 308) which will eventually grow up into something like a 338 edge, but may have a partial make-over into a 300 RUM to burn out the existing barrel first.
Also do a mix of ducks and pheasants - primarily in the BOP (home town Katikati) so have a Win101 and 1187.
Got a Brno mod 1 for the rabbits and possums, but again don't get out nearly enough to chase the little buggers - looking forward to the day my kids will be old enough to join me.
Did manage to get out for a spear a few weeks ago around the back of Tiri:
