Best wishes to all members of this community.
Fortunately, I stumbled across this forum whilst trying to find some info on the Rem 280 Akley improved caliber.
So by way of introduction here is a bit of info on myself.
I am 67 years of age and have been a keen hunter since 13. When placing game meat on the table was a top priority.
I am a time-served fitter and turner machinist, self-employed for the last 40 years and still enjoying working in the trade.
I started reloading when I was 16 also driven by economics and the desire to continue eating quality fresh from mother nature.
Rabbit shooting and game bird hunting came first followed by a lifetime of pig hunting and deer stalking.
Clay bird shooting has been a passion along with Black powder including a homemade 41 mm beast of a cannon as well.
Much enjoyment has been obtained by experimenting with many rifles of excellent quality of lots of calibers
Nowadays I stick with Shultz &Larsen, BRNO & BSA rifles from the 1950s to the late 60s when mass-produced was not an option. I prefer the 7mm caliber. HAPPY SAFE HUNTING TO ALL YOU NEAT FOLKS OUT DO IT. Best regards from HARPO
