    Hello

Hi, new member here. Just sat my firearms safety course and beginning the confusing process of trying to decipher what all the differences between guns and caliber etc mean. Any tips, fire them my way. Also any first pointers of where to go looking for animals local to welly. Thinking Tararuas and Haurangis must be a good start.

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum. There has been quite a few threads about which calibre is best. It all depends on what your trying to shoot. For large game a 308 or 270 will drop them all dependant on range.

    Welcome aboard
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum.

223 will do everything and with no recoil, 1.8 twist will allow you to shoot heavier projectiles which are good on pigs and deer
    When hunting think safety first
