Now you can shoot deer just like the rich and famous in pommie land. Welcome to NZ, if you have family with you just make sure they are ok and settled or you will be dragged back to the homeland. For a outdoorsman this place is the place to be. Been here 21years and never gone back to the dump they call England, and New Zealand is the closest I will get to heaven

Hey sam if you get some time over the next couple weeks you should chuck up a story in the hunting section on the whole foxing thing. I'd be interested to read it and i think a few other members would be keen to read about something we dont get to do here. Welcome to the forum cuz

Hi only ordered my new rifle today (haven't told the wife yet lol) heaps of good doc blocks around. I met a farmer today who has 3000 acres of prime fallow hunting and no One hunting there. I asked the big question " can I come and shoot some deer" and to my amazement he said yes anytime. Chuffed with that result. Did you bring any firearms with you?

    Cheers Antz

Hi Sam, I also left the old country a while ago, think it was 1948, you have come to a great country at a time when hunting is great, if you get offered chances like Antz, don't tell the world or you'll have heaps of "mates".
