    Originally from Taranaki but moved to Canterbury for the mountains and hunting opportunities a few years ago

    Mostly hunt alpine as I can't stand bush stalking

    Getting right into my reloading and long range shooting

    Don't mention 270 and you be fine
    Starting to go off Bush Hunting myself - but don't have a lot of other choice
    Bounced 3 lots today - SE storm scattered fine stick/twigs all over the shop and was worse than peak summer on corflakes

    Welcome aboard.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Welcome to the forum.
    You may have to get used to bush hunting the way WARO is going at the moment.
    Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

    Agreed, hopefully in the future organisations like the NZGAC has a much stronger voice to protect the fantastic hunting opportunities we have here
