    Hello

Hi, Finally registered after reading many interesting and informative posts. I’ve been shooting for decades with a bit of a gap for the last few years and am now shooting at the local sporting rimfire club. A great discovery has been that the ‘56 Brno model 2 that I have shoots as well, if not better, than my T1x. Hope to read many more posts and occasionally contribute. Cheers

    Welcome to the forum.
Gotta love the Brno’s, though mine have a bit bigger holes in the barrels than yours!

Thanks Cigar and Rugerman. It was a bit of a gamble when I bought the Brno as it had a dirty great black stain about 6 inches up from the base of the stock, probably from a sleeved recoil pad. Got it for a good price though. The stain came off when I stripped the stock and all the dents came out with a bit of time with the soldering iron. The trigger is as smooth as butter and it’s a great rifle. Certainly a keeper. I’ve also got a ‘71 10/22 that I’ve had for about 35 years or so. The joy when I discovered a walnut stock under the stain. Both are oiled with Tru-oil.
