    Hello all

How it going, I'm Andrew from Christchurch. Been a member since 2015 but have never posted before I Mainly use the forum for Gear recommendations and reloading information. My favorite hunting is Duck shooting but I do love a decent bush stalk or tops mish. My best hunting trip was when I got invited with to join a group for the 2018 Wapiti Ballot and we were lucky enough to be successful on the Large Burn block. That was an eye opener to why good gear was important. It rained on and off for 9 out of the 10 days. I think it was the most wet I've ever been. One night we had a thunderstorm that went on for hours and my huntech bivvy got blown down in the clearing we where in so I had to resort to a wet night in the bush. I didn't shoot anything but we got meters away from quite a few animals and had a stag come bowling in on us then our handheld walkie talkie went nuts and he scared off right before we saw him. Got up to about 10 meters away from another one he was a young 8 point further on in the trip and he hanged around for about 5 minutes before he decided he didn't like us. It was a massive punish to be fair and hopefully I've learnt a lot from it but, I would do it again in a heart beat! Anyway I thought I might include something a bit different to my introduction and share a little of one of the many 'war stories' as such that are starting build up from this addiction we all call 'hunting'

    Welcome Andrew
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
