    Hello all!

    Hi everyone,

Wow what a forum. Having just got a AR 15 I was doing the usual research as you do and found this place. Spent quite some time today looking through the posts and found some great advice and food for thought.

What a stroke of luck finding this site. Great stuff, it's local, heaps of knowledge freely given and often a healthy dose of humor to boot

Any way, I like the 'gun porn' pictures so here is one showing some from my current line up of attractive 'models'.

I'm a 7.62 x 51 kinda fella so buying what I had always considered a long range bunny gun, the AR 15, was a leap into the unknown. Well after it arrived boy am I chuffed. Can't even sleep thinking about the test run at Waiuku tomorrow. Hence the midnight post

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

    Hiya Toby,
Started as basic 10/11 added a UTG rail and 15 round mag:
    Kidd bolt (black)
    Volquartsen trigger
    Volquartsen extended mag release
Bolt release home job with a file
    Extended charging handle - Black
    Magpul back up sights
An aimpoint copy is on it.

    Goes real sweet...
