    Hello from Auckland

Hello all, Ive been lurking around for a little bit now but thought I would formally introduce myself. My name is Christophe, I live in Coatesville Auckland and I am a student. I love everything firearm/military related and I am also an avide freediver. Im yet to go on a hunt but I am super keen. Ive been shooting for a few years but am in the process of getting my own license now. I would say my passion is long range precision shooting but I love it all, I am also happy to awnser/help anyone who has questions on long range shooting.

    Cheers
    Christophe

When I was a teenager a "freediver" was someone who had sex without the use of a condom...is this still the case or has some other group stolen the word?
So what have you been using so far in your pursuit of precision long range shooting?
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

Haha no im talking about "Freediving, free-diving, or free diving is a form of underwater diving that relies on a diver's ability to hold his or her breath until resurfacing rather than on the use of a breathing apparatus such as scuba gear." One of my mates has a rem 700 in 300 win mag in a mdt chassis, have been going out with him and using that.

Welcome you hirsute citrus. What sort of range are you shooting out to? There are plenty of opportunities to go bush on here.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Haha thanks. The longest range we had access to was 1200m on a relatives farm, unfortunately we are no longer able to shoot there :/ but we had some good fun out at those ranges. I cant wait to go for a hunt, I just love the idea of everything around it. Harvesting your own meat, going bush etc all that good stuff

    Welcome HairyLemon.

Plenty of long range types on here, so you've come to the right place.
If you want to get in some LR practise close to the city, Clevedon Rifle Club shoot over the summer from 100m to 1000m (or was that yards?).
    Welcome to Sako club.
