    Hello from aus

    G'day all,
My name is jack and I'm from Victoria Australia. I'm 21 work as an NRM officer for the local catchment management authority and live for shooting. In the summer I do a bit of roo shooting and a lot of fox and hare hunting with my running dogs but what really gets me going is the deer. I've been fortunate to grow up in the only spot outside queensland where red deer were liberated in Australia and spend most of my time hunting them. I've done a bit of fallow hunting in south Australia and that finally paid off this year with a nice white buck on my 21st bday weekend, better than a party I thought! I'm mostly a meat hunter but also love trophy hunting and spend a lot of time on that. I grew up with my old man telling me about his stories of his hunting trips to NZ after chamois and sika and for my brother and I it's been the holy Grail land of hunting for us.
We were lucky enough to go over this year together and hunt a sika which has been my dream since a kid and we both just fell in love with your country. The country, the people, the attitude towards hunting and the whole atmosphere was nothing like we have back home and we are definitely keen to come back again.
I look forward to sharing a few stories with you blokes and getting to know a few people,
    Happy hunting,
    Jack

Welcome to the forum Jack. Enjoy your time over here and make sure you post a story about getting that 8 point Sika.
