Hi, thanks, all. Yes, Toby, I have shot moose; a great animal to hunt, especially in the rut, when you can call them in.
Where abouts did you live, Bryan, when you were here?
GJ, what did you do for work in Unity; farming? Speaking of which, my sister and her hubby and son have a big farm/cattle operation in Alberta, always looking for people to work there, if anybody feels the wanderlust. Great hunting there too.
I look forward to hearing about hunting experiences over in your land; what types of animal do you folks usually hunt over there? Here it is moose, elk, deer,(whit-tail and muley) black bear, and with luck you get your name pulled for a grizzly hunt. Some of the more adventurous go up in the mountains for sheep and mountain goat. Where I live right now we get deer, black bear, moose, ruffed grouse, coyote, in the door-yard. One winter had a pregnant cow moose with a broken hind leg living in the yard; I fed her, trying to keep her alive until she calved out, but she finally went up on the hill behind our pasture and died. Too bad; would have been interesting raising a calf moose.
Anyway, thanks for the welcome mat guys, good to be on board.
Regards,
Drifter
