Thread: Hello from Canada

Drifter, I was living in Airdrie North of Calgary, AB from late 2009 to January 2011. Worked at the Big Bass Pro outdoors mega store at Cross Iron Mills as a shift manager in the hunting department. Was a pretty sweet place to work.

I did quite a lot of hunting and fishing while over there, I actually still have a valid Canadian Firearms Licence. Shot 100's of gophers over summer which was a hoot. Got my general whitetail and mule deer tags and found my own spots near Rocky Mountain House and bagged two whitetails for the 2012 season. Bloody awesome experience.

Wife and I did a LOT of travelling around Alberta/Montana/British Columbia and even drove to a mates log cabin in eastern Saskatchewan for New Years and went ice fishing. We absolutely loved our time there. To be honest, I would still be there if it weren't for the stupid Visa crap.

I know the Airdrie area somewhat; a good friend of mine lives there; I have been in the Bass Pro Shop one time, in October 2010; the wife about had to drag me kicking and screaming from there! A guy could end up spending WAAYYY too much money in there.....

Too bad about the Visa crapoloa; our illustrious government can sure mess things up sometimes. But, guess it's the same almost everywhere.
