Welcome Drifter, Never been but i have always thought if i was to live in any other country it would be Canada.

We hunt deer, Sambar,Rusa,Sika,Fallow,Red,Whitetail,Elk. All year round for free on public land with a few restrictions/ballots on some areas at some times.
We hunt goats for free at any time of year on public land.
We hunt pigs for free at any time of year on public land and also in plantation pine forests with permits(depending on region), mostly with dogs and knife.
We hunt Chamois for free at any time of year on public land.
We hunt Thar for free at any time of year on public land tho there is a ballot for some areas at some times.
We hunt Wallaby for free at any time of year on public land.
We hunt Hare at any time of year for free on public land.
We hunt Rabbit at any time of year for free on public land.
We hunt/trap/poison Possum at any time of year for free on public land.

You could in theory shoot every one of these animals you see, However "most" of us hunters are more conservationist than that and shoot what we can carry unless specifically culling and excess of animals(for a farmer etc)

All the Above are listed as pest species and millions of dollars a year are spent relentlessly shooting/poisoning anything with four legs on public land,also killing large numbers of rare native birds.

We hunt birds and other stuff too but they have seasons and licenses except I think Canada goose?
