    Hello from England

Hello to you all from England.
I been into hunting for about 10 years now since I retired, mainly deer stalking but I do vermin control for the local farms around me. I have several rifles one of which is a dedicated night vision rig (22-250) and reload for most of them although wish I’d never started but its a slippery old slope.
I know little of hunting in New Zealand but hope to learn however I do like your DPT Mods (I have 3 of them).

    Best Regards

Welcome Bryn! It is a bit hard to compare our hunting with the UK situation. We are lucky that we do not have a large population and hunting on our large areas of public land is very easy. Many NZ shooters do not realise just how lucky we are here compared to the rest of the World; no hunting license (apart from game birds), no season limits (apart from game birds), a wide range of species, no ammo quotas, no restriction on the number of firearms you can own (apart from the recent ban of centre-fire semi-autos), etc. How long this will last with our current crop of MP's is debatable, unfortunately!

    What Ho Bryn,
Nice to hear from you. "Vermin" control? Foxes and rabbits I presume? One of which we have here, although there was an attempt to establish the fox here for the benefit of the Horse and Hound fraternity back in 1864 with the importation of 3 foxes. One escaped the vessel en route and drowned whilst the remaining pair, although landed and alive in 1867 were eventually destroyed. A narrow escape for us. Not so with Brer Rabbit sad to say.
Good luck with the Covid -19 and also my best wishes for Brexit.
Oh, and don't be discouraged by 257weatherby, sometimes our colonial sense of humour is a bit TOTT.

    Welcome.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
