    Hello from England

    Hi,

I live in the South of England. Have been hunting for most of my adult life.

I spend as much of my spare time as I can hunting locally to where I live in the south of England for roe deer, fallow deer and muntjac deer.

Below are some photos of the roe deer and muntjac which some of you may not have seen before?

This is a very good muntjac buck, world class. It has not been measured yet but it will definitely be a medal, probably silver or gold. They are the size of a Spaniel dog and weigh between 10-18KG.

This is a roe buck, this again is a world class animal. It was a very high scoring bronze medal, only 2 points from a silver!!! My step dad was still very happy, I let him shoot it off one of my permissions for his birthday present, this was the first deer he had ever shot!!! These are relatively small deer weighing anywhere from 15-35KG depending on what the quality of the genetics and also the feeding.

I also have a large forestry block that I hunt in Scotland. It is mostly roe deer, there are a few reds. Also, which is very unusual for the UK we still have wild boar.

My favourite calibre is the 270 which I use for the majority of my deer and wild boar shooting. Below is a photo of my pride and joy the Tikka T3 Lite in 270, as you will see it has a moderator/silencer on it, is this also allowed in NZ?

I also have a Sako Quad with 17HMR and 22LR barrels for shooting rabbits and ground game, Remington 700 in 243 for shooting foxes and the smaller deer IE muntjac and roe deer, Tikka T3 Lite in 270 for deer and wild boar, Weatherby Vanguard in 308 with a night vision scope specifically for shooting wild boar.

I have hunted in Germany and Holland for wild boar, I have made some good friends who come and visit me in the UK so they can shoot some of our unique species and I go to Germany and Holland to shoot some of theirs.

So this is an introduction about me. I hope to learn a lot about hunting in NZ.

    Cheers

    Buck
