    Hello from Norway

Hi to all that might read this.
I am a 57 year old man that live in Norway and I am extremely passionate about hunting.
Specially hunting with rifles and bows.

I plan to go to New Zealand about 3 years from now to drive around in a car to sleep in and do as much hunting and fishing as I can for some months.
Hunt for whatever is legal, small or large and fish for whatever is legal, in salt or sweet water.

    Welcome aboard.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    Thanks.
I live in the south of Norway.
Close to the north border of Agder county, and rather close to the coast
Where in Norway do you visit and what do you do here?
    Hunt?

    Welcome mate.

Interesting name. I grew up in a area where the puffies and their smaller cousin the Horned adder were very common.

    Thank you.
I have chosen the name because I love snakes and Puff Adders and Gabon Vipers are among the ones I like the most.
I have also used that name for many years when gaming, so instead of thinking much about what name I should use here, I just as well chose that.

I have only encountered a wild Puff Adder once and that was when crawling on the ground in South Africa with my bow, trying to get close enough for a shot on a Blesbuck.
I suddenly discovered it about 1 meter in front of my nose and that clearly changed my plans for my approach towards the Blesbuck, making me taking a small detour around it.

I run a Wilderness Leadership program for two weeks every year. Over the last 13 years I have run it in the Glaskogen area in Sweden. This year for various reasons decided to switch to Norway. We were around 1.5 hours north of Oslo.
Even when in Sweden we always come via the ferry from Kiel to Oslo and fly home via Oslo.
I have hunted in Sweden but not Norway. Saw a moose at close quarters this year though. Had a great experience a couple of years ago with a close encounter with a wolf.

The only snakes in NZ are Windscreen Vipers.

Also, welcome to the forum. If you're over between May and August contact me and I'll take you out after pheasants and quail - and maybe sika and reds otherwise.
