Cheers everyone. Hope I don't have to keep up with the rugby to fit in!

    Welcome.
Cheers! I'm in New Plymouth. I've only been after rabbits so far, but I'd love to give deer and goats a go in the future.

Yes! I went along to the local club at the beginning of September, that was how I met the man who took me out shooting rabbits. I'll go along again next week and sort out my membership.

    Greetings and Welcome Emily,
You have chosen an interesting pastime. I see you are about to get your license. You have an interesting choice ahead if you haven't made it already. Calibre. You don't need a large boom stick to shoot deer and goats despite what some men will tell you. You are joining a club, excellent. There should be plenty of rifles to try to see what suits you. Pick something you like. You also don't need a super television scope to shoot out to 200 metres or so. Again pick something that feels good to you. It is your journey and your choices. Enjoy it.
    Regards Grandpamac.
