    Hello there all

I've been an avid air rifle enthusiast for many years (right into national level FT) but recent events have had me return to centrefire as well. Only this time the ADF isnt going to fund my ammo usage. I'm looking fwd to hunting something other than bunnies and hares too. Keen to range further out into the boonies like a lot of you fellas obviously do quite regularly. I'm already kitted out fairly well except for decent cold weather gear. Ah well - i emptied the bank account on a t3 sporter 6.5x55 as i intend to do some long range too.

Thanks lads for the warm welcome! There's quite a few fellas over on the nzairgunner forum that i'll send this way for a peek. Lots of them got forced by the government to get a FAL for their pcp airguns so they're looking to get value for money. Suddenly getting a 'powder burner' (as they call it ha ha) doesnt seem like such a bad idea. Lots of them hunt bunnies, hares, possums and pest birds already so they dont need much encouragement. There's even a guy in Manukau that manufactures .50cal air rifles (he's madly into firearms as well). All the pictures posted up of south island hunting are freakin inspiring! I can't wait to get out there

Thats the way Man. This place aint just for "Powder Burners". Its for Joe public who have a genuine interest in Hunting and Shooting in New Zealand. Could be a catapultist (sp) dropping water rats at Spa Park in Taupo for all I care.
