    Hey Everyone

    Hey Everybody,
My names Dan, I'm 20, and I'm a helicopter pilot initiate/ground crewman in the wairarapa. I'm into all sorts of hunting, and this seems like as good a place as any to learn and read and ask. I have a ruger m77mkII in 308, a Bushmaster Ar15 and hopefully soon a 308 AR that I've just ordered, and will no doubt be looking for advice on thru here at some stage!
    Cheers guys

Welcome aboard Dan. I am sure that you will find what you are after on here and we could always use a friendly chopper pilot.

    Cheers guys!
yeah there are distinct advantages to working for a helicopter company near the tararuas haha. ..
7mmwsm, I had a feeling I you might be someone I know, I've been floating round here for a while and "south waikato" caught my eye... I hear you've been making the most of an influx of reds up the hill there, good on ya and will do.

Toby, I'm more of a fledgling than a pilot haha, just starting on the Hughes 500Es after doing my training in deathtraps, R22s

Loud and large then I havent seen him since a frost season a few years ago and he was vomiting out the door of his machine.
Good on ya. Hope ya have a good career. You will have a longer one, staying away from the R22's. Going from an angry palm tree to an E is a fortunate jump

I know they're pretty new, but the reviews on their AR15s have gone from shit to awesome over the last few years...

I looked at getting one of those but they couldnt offer it in a barrel length other than 22" and i think it was a heavy barrel off memory? I think AM do a carbine version as well. So you be hanging out counting down the days hours and minutes!

Yeah she's eight & a half pounds dry, and heavy barrel yeah. The AM-10BD is an 18" carbine but I dunno if we'll see those here anytime soon. They must be fairly new, I can't find a single review. Everything I'm reading is about their am15, but it's all positive lately... Yeah I'm pacing I'm furious impatience at the moment, can't wait
