Hey Team Just moved to the Manawatu Joined up to the group to learn new things and also about the possibility of getting into reloading. I have hunted both south island and parts of the north island and am interested in chasing Samba, sika and rusa while I'm up here. have shot a few good reds and fallow down south.
I am also looking into getting a 17 HMR or 22 Mag so if any ones got any pointers or pros/ cons please share them with me

Welcome! My thoughts on the 22 cal is a 223 can be used on DOC land whereas 22 Mag can't be. 223 keeps your options open. It's great for long-range rabbit sniping while being capable of deer.
