    Hi

Hi all. Just joined the forums, and seems like newbys always get directed here, so thought I should take the initiative. I grew up down south, but now based in Christchurch, started chasing rabbits and possums early in life and progressed to bigger animals about 10 year ago. Have chased chamois and tahr, but much prefer deer. Most of my career has been meat hunts a few times a year while I focussed on study and other sports, but now taking more of an interest in shooting, mainly due to a succession of niggly injuries providing some space in my hobby calendar. Have also recently started reloading, only .308 a this stage, but looking to branch out some more once I have a but more practice at load development. Looking forward to gleaning some knowledge and being a part of the community. Cheers for having me.

Welcome !. I've never even seen a tahr in the wild, and the only chamois I've shot at I missed at a range of 25 yards when I was about sixteen years old. And after missing the chamois I lost a beautiful German hunting knife in a shingle scree. Not my best outing. But things improved over the years.

    Welcome bang.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
